The PK-EU
Project is currently looking for candidates for the following
positions:
AWARENESS
ASSISTANT
The Awareness Assistant will
assist the Awareness Section and Project Management Unit with
the im-plementation
of its awareness activities. The work will concentrate on,
but not be limited to, implementa-tion of field based activities,
public relations and promotional events, and organize district
network cen-tres and liaise between the partners in this network.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s de-gree or
higher in communication, awareness raising, social marketing
or similar,
and has a minimum of three years working experience in awareness
or a related field, and preferably has experience in working
in
international projects and is capable of working in Thai, E-san
and English.
The position is at first till the end of March 2006, with an option

BASELINE
SURVEY CONSULTANT
The Baseline survey consultant will design
and conduct a survey in the bufferzone of Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary,
Chaiyaphum, in order to obtain information on principally demography,
socio-economics, and attitudes towards nature, conservation and
protected area management. The successful candidate has a master
degree or higher in social sciences or similar studies, a minimum
of three years working experi-ence with undertaking surveys on village
level, awareness raising programs or similar, and can work both
in Thai and E-san language.
The study is expected to last for two months, to be implemented

Consultant
for a Public relation programme for illegal people in the Phu Khieo
Wildlife Sanctuary bufferzone
The consultant will gather appropriate information
concerning the socio-economic situation of people undertaking illegal
activities in PKWS, and plan/design a public relation program addressing
issues and solutions. The successful candidate has a master’s degree
or higher in social sciences or similar, be capable of working both
in Thai and E-san language, has a minimum of three years working
experience with surveys, awareness raising or related subjects,
and has working experience with transfer of knowl-edge, participatory
approaches and/or facilitation.
The study is expected to last for three months, to be implemented

CONSULTANT
TO DESIGN A RADIO SPOT
The consultant will develop three or more
radio “spots” that advertise the PK-EU Project and sustainable conservation
of Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary. The successful candidate has a
minimum of three years experience with Public Relations, communication,
journalism, awareness raising or similar, and prefera-bly experience
with environmental conservation and a working knowledge of E-san
language.
The assignment is for three man days, to be implemented over a period

GRAZING
PRACTICES SURVEY CONSULTANT
The consultant will design and conduct
a survey to assess numbers, trends and impacts of cattle grazing
inside Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary. The successful candidate has
a minimum of five years experience with cattle grazing or related
subjects, experience with participatory methodologies, and preferably
with conservation and development projects, and can preferably work
in both E-san and English languages.
The assignment
is for thirty man-days, to be implemented over a period of maximally
