Description: Annual herb, 10–40 cm, stem glabrous. Basal leaves free or perfoliate, caduceus; cauline leaves perfoliate, 0.5–2 x 2.5–4 cm. Inflorescences monochasium or dichasium, 5–10 cm long, 4–10 flowers on each. Bracts foliate, orbicular, 0.5–1.5 x 1–2.5 cm. Flowers with 1–2 mm long pedicels. Calyx urn-shaped, salver-shaped, 4 lobes; lobes triangular, 1–1.5 mm long. Corolla salver-shaped, 5 lobed; tube ca 1 cm long; lobes spathulate, almost equal, as long as corolla tube. Stamens 5, unequal, 2–7 mm long; anthers ca 3 mm long. Ovary ovate-oblong, ca 4.5 mm; style ca 7 mm long; stigma lobes rounded. Capsule oblong, 6–7 mm long.

 

Distribution: Myanmar and northern Thailand, recorded from Tha Song Yang, Tak, common in open limestone, moist areas or near to streams, ca 200 m.
