 general Information    

Not only because of the park located in the land of Ta Bor-Huay Yai Forest (in Tambon Huay Yai, Tambon Ban Coke and Tambon Ban na, Muang Petchabun District, Ptchabun Province) which many significant and valuable animal and plant species are exist, but also this park composes of beautiful natural scenery of mountains and waterfalls, so The Royal Forest Department declared Tad Hmok National Park, 181,250 rais area, on October 30, 1998.

 Geography    


The park is mountainous with many high mountains and its provides an important watershed for the Pa Sak and Chi Rivers including Nam Nao National Park. In the past, Tat Mok National Park is a concession forest of the Thai Plywood Company. But this forest is still fertile area which is part of Nam Nao National Park.

Northern End : Nam Nao National Park and Phu Pha Daeng Wildlife Sanctuary, Phetchabun Province
Southern End : Ta Bo - Huai Yai Wildlife Sanctuary, Phetchabun Province
Eastern End : Phu Kiao Wildlife Sanctuary, Phetchabun Province
Western End : Mueang District, Phetchabun Province

 Climate    


 Flora and Fauna    


The Park consist of hill evergreen forest, dry evergreen forest, dipterocarp forest and mixed deciduous forest from which are the important sources of economic timber species in thailand such as Tectona grandis, Dipterocarp, Pterocapus macrocapus and Bamboo etc. Wildlife species found here are example: elephant, monkey, barking deer, wildhog, including birds diversity.
