Phu Phra Forest Park located in Tah Khan To and Yang Um Sub-district, Tah Khan To District, Kalasin Province, situated in Pah Dong Moon National Reserved Forest, covered the area of about 103.84 sq.km. It’s about 4 kms far from Tah Khan To District Office. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest park on October 1, 1973.

Dry Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest is mostly found, governed about 50% of the overall area. Dwarf trees have been growing. Flora found are Shorea obtusa, Shorea, Siamensis, Diptercarpus tuberculatus and Xylia xylocarpa.
Dry Evergreen Forest is found mostly along the stream bank, covered 25% of the area. It’s dwarfed forest. Flora found are Hopea sp., Dipterocarpus macrocarpus, Xylia xylocarpa, Lagerstroemia cochinchinensis and so on
Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest grown among the Dry Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest and Dry Evergreen Forest, covered about 25% of the area. Lower plant species generally found are various vine species.
Fauna found are wild pigs, monkeys, Trachypithecus sp., Malayan Flying lemur, squirrels, Indo-chinese ground squirrels, jungle fowls, common palm civets, chamelons, mongooses, snakes and Indian monitors.
